It has happened again

It has happened again.

I’m restraining myself from freaking out but I can’t help it.

The moment I dread with all my heart has come and now, I don’t know how to break the news to you.

But I’ll still say it, anyways.

I don’t know what to write to you today.

I’ve cleared my notepad three times since I began writing today’s email and I still am not flowing with the tide.

But I have a goal in mind.

And that’s to remind you to always take care of your clothes.

If you don’t do that, you’ll be stranded like I was when it was time for me to assume work at my PPA.

In the midst of the heat, I realised I had no sensible clothes to wear.

Yes, say it out with your full chest.

The writer who knows how to do fashion didn’t follow her own advice.

We’re human. Sometimes, we relax and do things anyhow.

But it’s not as if I don’t practise what I preached.

I just didn’t pay attention to the clothes that could pass for work wear.

Anyways, I had to do a wardrobe revamp and that cost me some money and energy.

Your clothes will last longer if you take care of them well.

See them as your investment and drop the lackadaisical attitude towards your clothes.

I know you may be wondering…

What lackadaisical attitude do I show my clothes? I wash them and iron them well.

Well…

There are some things you do (and don’t do) to your clothes.

These things hamper their lifespan.

These things will make you spend money unnecessarily too.

But you’ll never learn about them if you don’t read and take better care of your clothes.

Catch ya later!

P.S: If you replied to my previous email, thanks a lot.

Your response struck a chord and almost got me teary-eyed.

It feels good to know that you value me as the one girl who disturbs you every Friday to always dress better.

Love you.

I’ll love you more if you read the article above and take better care of your clothes.
